How Ultraformer III Works

Targeting Different Depths

One of the distinguishing features of Ultraformer III is its range of specialised transducers, allowing treatment to be tailored to different tissue depths.

• 4.5 mm: Targets deeper tissue planes, including the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) in suitable facial areas.

• 3.0 mm: Targets the deeper dermis to encourage collagen remodelling and skin tightening.

• 2.0 mm: Provides an additional, specialised treatment depth for selected superficial facial areas, allowing more tailored treatment planning.

• 1.5 mm: Targets more superficial dermal tissue to support improvements in skin firmness and texture.

Different depths may be selected during the same treatment, depending on individual anatomy, skin condition and clinical assessment.

What Happens During Treatment?

Following a consultation and assessment, ultrasound gel is applied to the skin to support effective energy delivery.

The Ultraformer III handpiece is then used to deliver focused ultrasound energy to the selected treatment areas and depths.

Patients may experience warmth, tingling or brief discomfort during treatment.

Most patients can return to their usual daily activities shortly afterwards, although temporary redness, swelling or tenderness may occur. Less common risks, including altered sensation, burns or nerve-related symptoms, are discussed during consultation.

Results develop gradually as collagen remodelling takes place, often becoming more noticeable over the following months.

The degree and duration of improvement vary between individuals.
